Carlton Gardens Primary School believes that every child has the right to feel safe at school. To ensure this continued the school applied for Bully Stoppers Grant. During Term 3 & 4 in 2013 students investigated bullying through film. The students were trying to answer four key questions:
After many discussions and after a lot of research, students developed their own definition of bullying and came up with strategies to deal with bullying as well as strategies to prevent bullying. They then used all of this knowledge to create films that show the effects of bullying on students.
We have posted the films on this website and we hope that they can be used in classrooms and at home to start discussions about bullying. You can also look at the bullying definition that our students created.
We hope that you enjoy looking at our exploration of bullying and hopefully it will inspire you as well.
