So far in health we have been looking at bullying. Here is what we have been doing:
By Lydia
- We brainstormed on a poster in groups, what we know about bullying (types of bullying, when and where it happens etc
- Resilience: with resilience we looked at bouncing back, which is when something bad happens to you and you have to be strong and pick yourself up.
- We made our own definitions of bullying on our posters.
- We watched video clips related to bullying (Eg.caught in the crowd, which was about a girl who refused to help a victim and felt sorry about it; another one was about a bystander who did something that made the bullies feel sorry about what they did)
- We looked at the roles of the people who are involved with the bullying, also this is linked to the role play that we are doing in groups, each person has a part to play (Eg. Bully, victim, bystander, victims, the queen bee, wannabe) We will be performing these plays soon.
- Our class definition for bullying is: Bullying is a constant harassment in a social, physical or verbal manner, in which an individual is affected in a negative way.
