So far in health we have been looking at bullying.
Heres what we have been doing:
Heres what we have been doing:
- We brainstormed on a poster in groups what we know about bullying. e.g. The types of bullying and when and where it happens.
- Resilience. With resilience we looked at “bouncing back” which is when something bad happens and you have to be strong and to pick yourself up.
- On a poster in groups we wrote down our own definition of bullying, which is:
- We watched a video clip called Caught in the crowd which is about a girl that didn’t help a boy that was getting bullied and he was her friend. Another video was about a bystander who dyed his hair the same colour as the victim so that the victim would not get teased anymore.
- We looked at the roles of people who are involved in bullying and this is linked to the role play that we are doing in groups and each person has a part to play (E.g. The bully and the bystander) we will be performing these role plays soon.
- Our class definition for bullying is: Bullying is a constant harassment in a social, physical or verbal manner, in which an individual is affected in a negative way.
