This week we learnt all about resilience and ‘bouncing back’. We talked about the things that happen in our lives that make us sad and we learnt about ways to ‘fix the problem’ and make us happy again. We decided that even if someone is not being a very good friend today we can still forgive them and be friends again tomorrow. Just like a ball people can ‘bounce back’ too!
What it means to ‘bounce back’
“If someone pushes you over then you ask them to ‘stop’ then the next day you bounce back and forgive them.”- Sophia
“Bouncing back, if you be bad and again you will be good tomorrow. (It is like) Bouncing with a ball”- Josh
“Somebody pushes you over and you cry and then you bounce back”- Owen
“Don’t be scared to say sorry to someone. It will be over soon if you just say sorry right now because it will be over if you hurry up.”- Maddie
“It means “Get over it!”- Malik
“That means you be sorry and be friends again.”- Jyothsna
We also came up with a list of words to describe bullying. Here is our Anchor Chart
